Jack Russell Terriers are small and energetic dogs that are known for their love of hunting as well as their friendliness and loyalty to their owners. They have short fur that comes in a variety of colors including white, black, red and brown.

The Jack Russell Terrier is truly an eternal trainer. He physically cannot sit in one place for a long time and gets tired of waiting for the game. This dog tries to attract the owner's attention in every possible way. He knows all the rules in the house and sometimes deliberately breaks them to upset the owner, and can also get carried away with his favorite TV series or a new book.

Don't forget that pets are very smart. Otherwise, any activity will quickly become tedious. Alternate commands and toys with new activities.

In general, Jack Russell Terriers have a cheerful and friendly character. The Jack Russell Terrier is best suited for families where the children are old enough to not treat the pet like a teddy bear. Only those dogs that have made serious mistakes in their upbringing from an early age become aggressive without reason.

Representatives of this breed do not get along very well with other animals in the house due to their hunting genes. The Jack Russell is known as a rat-catching dog, but it can also have problems with cats. When interacting with their own kind or other breeds (regardless of the size of the dog), they are bold and courageous, always trying to gain the upper hand and constantly getting into fights.
The main problem behaviors of the Jack Russell Terrier are stubbornness, loud barking, damaging household property, restlessness when the dog is left alone, digging and chasing small animals. All this can be corrected with proper attention from the owner. The only time this dog shows the bad side of his character is if he is not confronted or if this is seen as the only way to get his owner's attention.

The breed is completely obedient when trained. The main thing in this process is to be patient, remember to encourage and not raise your voice. Establishing your authority is very important, but this can and should be achieved with a calm and decisive attitude. Your pet should respect you, listen and not be afraid.
The Jack Russell Terrier, like many other terriers, was bred to hunt small animals in burrows. Of course, terriers are not fast or strong enough for tracking, but English foxhounds and other hounds were excellent at this task.

Overall, Jack Russell Terriers are wonderful dogs that can make loyal friends and lifelong companions.
